WE NEED YOUR HELP (& TRAILS)!
AMBTA are teaming up with Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland and Angus Council to produce Route/Trail Cards for the Angus Region.
Angus Council are kindly funding the Route Card packs to the tune of £4000.
The cards will be FREE and available at Tourist Information Offices and selected Bike Friendly Business’s in the Angus Area.
We really need the help of our members to facilitate this project. We need your trail ideas and route suggestions for consideration in the packs.
If you know a great piece of single track, or have a local loop that you think is worthy of representing Angus as a fantastic place to ride, please send us your suggestions!
More info can be found by downloading our route submission pack which is available to download here:

This initiative follows the successful rollout of similar packs in the Dundee and Highland Perthshire areas.
The Route Cards aim is to:
• Help increase participation from a grass roots level
• Create a bridge between landowners and riders by involving and empowering them to work together
• Increase Tourism and help generate new business and revenue within Angus
• Promote local Bike Friendly Business’s
AMBTA intend to include between 8-10 route cards in the first pack. This might be expanded in future years dependent on how successful the initial Route Cards are received.

In order to help the steering group Eliot Palmer (Angus Council Community Learning and Development) spent some time discussing the communities that this proposed development might hold benefit for. He then asked those attending to identify the needs of the different communities and the type of people a steering group would need. Then four group discussions took place identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the proposal. These discussions were finished by the groups finishing the following sentence. This organisation wants to develop a Trail Centre which will…….
The total attendance for the meeting was 42.
